Cosy Cottage | Enchanting Week

“Many thanks to the White House. We have had the best holidays on the Isle of Skye!

Our cosy cottage to come back to after a day exploring the many jewels of this beautiful corner of the world! The weather was fantastic, sunny most of our stay! Our highlight of the week:

Aquaexplore boat trip (minke whale and seals), the Point of Sleat walking trail, the many more walks around the isle, our culinary experience at the 3 Chimneys restaurant, most of all the comfort of the cottage!

We have to say bye bye for now but hope to come back soon for another relaxing enchanting week!

Thank You”

Views Overlooking The Bay | Cosy Self Catering Holiday Cottage | Scotland

“Spent a wonderfully hot and sunny week at the cottage & enjoyed it tremendously! What could be better than wine by the fire with views overlooking the bay!!

Would highly recommend a trip to the pub – the nearby Eilean Iarmain (the one Gerard Depardieu went to), as well as the Old Man of Storr, Point of Sleat & Quirang walks”

Beautiful and Cosy Cottage | Isle of Skye

“Wonderful week in this beautiful cottage, so cosy and friendly, fortunate to have a gorgeous day on Tues and able to picnic and enjoy the lawn outside with the fabulous views.

Enjoyed food at the Eilean Iarmain, Ardvaser Hotel, Cafe Sia, Harbour Inn, Bakur Bar Uig, and a wee cafe next door to the Misty Isles Hotel, Dunvegan. Dunvegan Castle worth a visit, Black houses museum at Kilmuir is excellent. We were fortunate enough to meet Torsten and have a chat about his new project along the road and have a sneak peak.

Also a lovely reminisce for my husband who actually stayed in the cottage in around 1965 on a family holiday. It has changed a lot since then but not lost it’s tradition and charm. It was special for us to bring our daughters here to holiday in it. We will be back! Thank you Torsten”

“OUR 2ND VISIT TO THE COTTAGE AND I’M SURE IT WON’T BE OUR LAST.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT, EVEN THE WEATHER!!! THIS YEAR WE TOOK THE 4 HOUR TRIP ON THE AQUAXPLORE FROM ELGOL, HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK. THE TRIP WAS FAB AND SAW A BABY MINK WHALE AMONGST MANY OTHER THINGS!

SKYE HAS A GREAT LARDER. WE HAVE FEASTED ON PRAWNS, HIGHLAND BEEF, HOMEMADE BREAD AND CAKES.

BEST OF ALL WAS COMING “HOME” EACH NIGHT TO THIS FAB COTTAGE.

THANK YOU”

Walking in Sleat | Isle of Skye | Scotland

IMG_7847

After a long (and very wet) winter summer beckons on the fair Isle. Spring weather has been intermittently very good with some beautiful sunshine allowing the ‘garden of Skye’ (as this area is known) to flourish.

A pretty self-catering holiday cottage with a garden bench giving stunning view of the beach on the Isle of Skye, Scotland, Eine hübsche Ferienwohnung Ferienhaus mit einer Gartenbank geben einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Strand auf der Isle of Skye, Schottland | Un gîte indépendant jolie avec un banc de jardin donnant une vue imprenable sur la plage, sur l'île de Skye, en Ecosse

Favourite walks on the Island include the sense of history and drama imbued by the ruins of the old castles and fortresses scattered throughout Skye. Pictured here, and situated in the bay beneath the Skye White House is what is left of Knock Castle – Caisteal Chamuis – but please do take care as the castle is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs.
