“Our 2nd visit to Skye White House was just as perfect, if not better than the first.

The cottage with it’s stunning views and idyllic location provided us with an ideal base for some much needed R&R.  Homely and well equipped it has everything we need and more.

We enjoyed walks on the beach in the wind and rain collecting shells and bits of drift wood, food from Skye Farm Shop and some welcome help from the cracking garage next door, and sitting by the fire in the wonderful bar at the Eilean Iarmain eating gorgeous local estate venison and haggis on New Years Eve.

We’ll be back again in 2014″

Recommended: Dinner at Creelers in Broadford, the walk down to the sandy beach near the Point of Sleat – just stunning and worth the effort! AquaXplore trip out to Canna & Rum, exhilirating and the best money we’ve spent on hold in a long time. Seal watching from the hide at Kylerhea. Spinning for mackerel at Armadale Pier.

We especially enjoyed the walk up and the view from Old Man Storr, the silence of Tokavaig beach, the tasty bread from the Baking Company (Portree), the drink in the evening sun at Stein Inn, the walk along and the quick (!) dip in the Fairy Pool near Glenbrittle, the live music at the Old Inn in Carbost, the beautiful texture  of Coral beach, the cold beer at Am Prabam Bar (Eilean Iarmain) and the morning sun and coffee on the bench in front of the Skye White House.
