After a long (and very wet) winter summer beckons on the fair Isle. Spring weather has been intermittently very good with some beautiful sunshine allowing the ‘garden of Skye’ (as this area is known) to flourish.
Favourite walks on the Island include the sense of history and drama imbued by the ruins of the old castles and fortresses scattered throughout Skye. Pictured here, and situated in the bay beneath the Skye White House is what is left of Knock Castle – Caisteal Chamuis – but please do take care as the castle is surrounded on three sides by steep cliffs.
